The 2008 Standards
Under the new Residential Title 24 Compliance Standards, TXV verifications will no longer be accepted. Additionally, under the 2008 standards, HERS Title 24 compliance inspections are required whenever there is any replacement of an indoor coil, outdoor coil, furnance, or condenser. In addition to the aforemented measures, Cooling Coil Airflow Measurement and Fan Watt Draw, will also be required when existing duct is completely replaced. Duct Blasting, Pressure Testing and or Duct Sealing will also be required for both package air conditioning and split air-conditioning systems on new or existing installations under the 2008 Title 24 standards. Refrigerant Charge Measurements(RCM) are not required on package airconditioning systems. All paperwork, CF-4R's and Mech-4a's will be generated at the conclusion of the tests.
